Täna meie seast 81-aastaselt lahkunud Jimmy Greaves oli ka suur koerasõber. Seda tutvustas ta avalikkusele juba 1962. aasta MM-il, kui veerandfinaalis Brasiilia vastu eksis platsile koer. Teised jäid hätta, Greaves aitas kutsu kinni püüda ja ta platsi kõrvale saatis.
Twitterit sirvides nähtub, et Greavesile meeldisid koerad elu lõpuni.
My sister met Jimmy Greaves about 7 years ago and they spoke for 30 mins about each others dogs.

Genuinely saddened to hear about Jimmy Greaves. When I was a nanny in Essex in the late 80s I’d see him every day with his dog. He just introduced himself as Jimmy and would share his dog biscuits with the dog I was walking. Such a genuinely friendly, kind and unassuming man.

Sad to hear about Jimmy Greaves. I went to a primary school in the Essex countryside & he used to wave at my mum & me in the car every morning when he was out walking his dog. Always seemed so friendly. RIP.
